Hi! I'm Emmanuel 👋
I’m a software engineer at Circle, working on payments. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve built web products, led technical projects, and mentored engineers. I also mentor through First Ruby Friend.
I orchestrate AI workflows from investigation and specs through implementation and review. That lets me ship faster than ever and spend more of my time building products, with less spent writing code by hand. At Circle, I ported our team’s internal AI framework, Paywalls AI, to OpenCode so we could work with different AI providers without depending on Claude.
Since joining Circle in March 2026, I’ve worked on checkout security and payment reliability, built Circle AI tools that let admins manage paywalls and subscriptions, and helped bring Stripe account setup into Circle. That work includes handling failed setup attempts and helping admins understand what Stripe still needs from them.
I enjoy getting to know a product well enough to make useful technical decisions. Code reviews and conversations with teammates are a big part of that. I speak English, French, and Portuguese. You can read about my experience or email me.
Outside work, I build tools for Even G2 glasses. Even Terminal OpenCode lets me follow AI sessions, approve actions, and answer agents’ questions from the glasses. Glint G2 brings Signal, WhatsApp, and HEY conversations to them, with voice replies. You can find both on the projects page.
